    Equivalencies when integrating?

Yea that was a reply to Pikachu. Thanks for the link about the arctangent function, and i can understand that my answer isn't in its simplest form to anyone with knowledge about the arctan function, but everything i've done is mathematically correct and i've answered the question, so being...

    Equivalencies when integrating?

Yea I know you can use partial fractions and that makes it easy, but I don't know why you wouldn't be able to use complex numbers, i's a constant and as long as you don't make an arithmetic error you're still gonna get a correct answer. (2i/3)*tan^-1(-i/3) is equivalent to ln(2)/3 (according to...

    Equivalencies when integrating?

So, often when integrating I end up using complex numbers, just because it seems obvious to me. I don't get a wrong answer, just a different one, that marking criteria usually doesn't mention at all, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has this problem or if i should do something about it...

    Distinctively Visual Other Related Texts?

Shoe-Horn sonata is my prescribed text, and i was thinking about ORT's, and I thought I could do some Wilfred Owen, but after doing some research I found out that it's a HSC prescribed text for Module B, could i still use him? Do i just have to make sure I don't use any of the prescribed poems?

Blit's guide to choosing related text for Discovery :)

I understand that, but wouldn't that inhibit their ability to mark it well?

Blit's guide to choosing related text for Discovery :)

Ok, so I found what I thought would be an awesome ORT, and halfway through analysing it, I worked out it was actually a story a student had written last year (probably why it works so well with discovery.) Can I still use it? Are HSC markers expected to "know" what happens in your ORT?

    A question on ORT's

Ok so, I'm going to be in the year 12 class of 2017, and we're doing the Area of Study at the moment, and I have a question regarding ORT's. All internet searches have proven themselves to be fruitless endeavors, so I'm turning to the good people on this forum. So I was searching for an ORT...
