no offense but why would an international student come to study in Australia if they knew very basic to no english?
also Im sure you can make a complaint to a supervisor or something that they're doing nothing
yes im certain it will be doable or else students would start complaining to NESA and they'd have to write the syllabus again to make it both doable and a way to prepare students for uni
You will still have to write a narrative but in Mod C
The "old syllabus" is retarded imo, mainly because...
Ok so in Mod C (I think for both Standard and Advanced, or maybe advanced I don't remember) there will be a creative as the module is called "the craft of writing" (if I remember correctly). It can be studied in conjunction with the common module, Module A or Module B (but I'm not 100% sure of...
I think that the new syllabus is trying to gear people to uni in a much more effective manner as opposed to the current
English:I can't remember but they're getting rid of the area of study (now a "common module") and moving the creative to Mod C. I can't remember what english has moved more...
Well there’s a purpose for me to be idealistic, I guess that’s to shed some perspective of this forum compared to AN
I never suggested that people relearn ‘useless’ high school content just to help HSC students, I just asked if it was a good idea/worth it but got no response
And I do not...
i do agree, people do not get employed for nothing in return (i forgot to mention but the mods on AN do this as part of their employment, they actually dont mark for free) but as i mentioned mods on bos do not do this as they are busy with work and uni commitments
that's why i personally think...
essay marking isnt considered "tutoring" of some sort-it's more about helping others and giving them the best advice to get people in the right direction
i do not think atar notes has the right to say they are offering "free hsc tutoring" when in reality all their doing is offering free hsc...
your post is very confusing. what specifically are you creating the poster on? is the poster going to be focused on belonging, or culture or what? (in terms of being symbolic)
the sad reality of english standard is that it's hard to get a band 6 due to the aligning of the course. the texts in standard are easier and shorter than in advanced (someone please correct me if im wrong)
this is probably the biggest factor in my opinion
everyone wants free essay marking where they get detailed feedback, not the sort of feedback the teacher at your school gives you (and most essay markers whether b6 students or hsc markers would charge $20 per essay, i mean if someone wanted to...
if you look at it now, not many uni students do seem to help out with the hsc questions
yeah kind of
i do agree but im sure they wouldve used this forum in high school for academic help and now that they went to uni they wouldnt seem to keen on helping people out (so they dont seem to keen...
