Apparently there's a method to check whether you've passed or not. I just checked on the /usyd subredit about this: "If you go on sydneystudent, and go to change units of study, it should show you the credit points you've gained for the semester. Additionally, if you check the unit selections at...

Exceeding the number of credit points in your degree

Unless you have some kind of special circumstance, they won't let you exceed it.

Hey guys, when does enrolment open for 2018 subjects? I've checked on Usyd's key dates they said from the 13th Dec you can re-enrol, but I still can't. Can you guys enrol as of now?

    USYD 2017 Semester 1 Results

Do results typically get released beforehand (like the night before) via email or Sydney Student, or is it strictly after Wed 9am that you get to see your results?

That's a different unit of study that I did, and it still appears as normal on Sydney Student.

Guys got a question. Results day is just days away, and when I logged into Sydney Student just now, there's this one particular unit that I took during the semester that does not match with the number of completed units of credit that I did during that semester (i.e. I took 4 units = 24 UOC, but...

    Special Consideration on Final Exam

Hey guys, I was wondering on how the procedure for Special Consideration works at usyd. I've emailed the lecturer in charge on this final exam that I couldn't sit, but he says that he doesn't make decisions on granting Special Con to students, it's done by the "Special Consideration team". I...

Yeah I've thought about doing Computer Science as a 2nd major but I'm more interested into the project management side of things, so I think IS would suit better for this case. Haha my 1st major would either be in Statistics, Maths or even Psychology - depending how i'll feel by the end of the...

Guys, I'm planning to do a 2nd major in Information Systems. The requirement for a IS major is "For a major in Information Systems the minimum requirement is 24 credit points chosen from the senior units of study listed for this subject area." Having said that, I don't necessarily have to...

Congratulations! Just curious, is there a fee payable to attend your ceremony? I know other unis (unsw) apparently have to pay $160 for one. Also would you get a plaque or a frame for your testamur?

USyd comm on par with UNSW comm? pros and cons?

The trimesters is a thing to consider at UNSW, but I heard that USYD will reduce teaching weeks from 13 weeks to 12 starting from next year. still prefer this over the trimesters though. http://honisoit.com/2017/03/usyd-academic-board-votes-down-12-week-semesters/

Oh? So there's no tutorial class in which the tutor asks the students at the start of the class which questions you want to go over or have difficulty, and teaches the whole class step-by-step by writing it on the board? That was what I was expecting haha.

Wow, thanks for your prompt reply! :) Yeah having a look at the handbook, maths provides more offerings in terms of various topics. There are definitely some interesting diverse topics like DEs (MATH2065?) and a bit of Graph Theory. Both Maths and Stats are of interest to me - I want to work in...

sida1049, how are you finding your 2nd year maths subjects? I ask because I may do a maths (non-advanced) major instead of a stats
