Engineering is easier and has more theory but theres specific topics that are pretty hard. Also some topics overlap in year 11 mainly like electricity and dynamics
You should probably start y12 as long as ur confident in trig and algebra and you will probably briefly go over some of the stuff again in y12 like calculus
