HSC, in all seriousness is just a matter of memorising stuff and re-writing it in an exam.
But there's no point in trying to memorise material if you don't understand it. A good way to check your understanding is to try to explain it to someone. Get yourself a victim - someone in your class...
If you need any help with Biosphere, feel free to drop me a PM.
SDA is easy enough to get through, don't let it worry you too much. Focus more on Chem/CBG/Biosphere.
You won't really need extension maths (you won't need it at all). The only maths subject you have to do is statistics, which you can get by on with 2 unit or general maths even.
There will be some maths in your other subjects, eg, biochemistry involves a lot of graphs. But other than that, you...
I'm guessing that biomed would be different across uni's, but at UTS, I've been doing mostly microbiology and biochemistry.
As with any science course, it does take up a lot of time, so expect to be at uni 4 or 5 days a week.
This is the course I'm doing: UTS:C10115v7 Bachelor of Biomedical...
Started writing these reviews late last year but never got around to actually posting them:
Won't drop any names - idk, if you really wanted to know who said lecturers are, you could probably look up the subject outline. I don't think I've said anything particularly harsh, but still, I'd rather...
Yes indeed, I spent about an hour today staring down a microscope, trying to get it to focus properly.
my eyes hurt ;_;
Also, there was much confusion over tutorial times for my statistics subject o_O

I was going to apply for PN last year, but I never got around to it.

The secondhand bookstore is opposite the Union Office, near the union shop and food court. way down on level 2 of the Tower
Helped a few first years get around Building 4. The room numbering is really confusing... Even I still get lost in it o_O
Still, it's good to be back =]
The dates refer to when those classes are on. Your lecturers will give you more details on which days you have classes, which might be different to what's on your timetable.
You'll get a schedule of lectures and tutorials in your subject outlines. Just follow that.
And yeah, you wouldn't have...
I was in the area today, so I took a quick detour to check out Blackfriars. It's behind Notre Dame, which is not too far from the main campus. Apparently it's part of the Arts/Communictions faculty o_O
UTS: City campus map - University of Technology, Sydney
Apparently it's not too far from Building 10 o_O
Never been there before, but I have a lecture there this semester
Dear proverbial God, I never want to see them again:
[physics books sold XD]
Raven Biology (for Biocomplexity 91123, Cell Biology and Genetics 91161 and The Biosphere 91107) - $90 (plus CD with additional readings for Biocomplexity) Seems like they changed the textbook... also, looks like...
I'm helping out on the 25th and 26th, so if anyone wants to stalk me down, I'll be at the Science Faculty official welcome as well as probably doing some campus tours
Right here:
