    sms bullying

Maybe they should prevent the bullies from physically harming people before they worry about a few harmless pixels on a screen...

    Home Schooling

I agree - that's what I'm after. But I guess some people are unusual and are after something different... I mean, the majority of HSC candidates have no chance of gaining a place at a university based on their UAI - there must be a few reasons why some people who have no chance still do it.

    Home Schooling

CrashOveride, SECTION 11.9.2 is interesting, but it would only 'beat' distance education and OTEN if you were only after a UAI. "They are not eligible for the award of the Higher School Certificate or Record of Achievement but are eligible for a Higher School Certificate Result Notice...

Anyone try OTEN Institute of TAFE

I completed the preliminary component through OTEN last year (2004), as I started it quite late I had to finish it in a much smaller period of time. I managed to complete the preliminary in 3 months - although it requires motivation, it's very much doable. This year (2005) I'm doing the year...

    whats the treasurer do?

It's a ministerial position. He is a senior member of cabinet. The role of ministers are never really officially outlined - they are more assumed. He has no actual power, he is merely the "financial spokesman" for the government. He drafts fiscal policy, these drafts are powerless without the...

Delian League to empire and war

The Athenians may not have sought an empire I believe this is true. Thucydides believes the initial capture of Eion, Scyrius, Carystus and Naxos were stepping stones to becoming an empire. "it was the actual course of events which first complled us to increase power to its present...

    Dropping to Standard- Too late?

The problem with moving to standard will be the catch up factor. If you are struggling at the moment, do you think you would be able to cope with that extra work load? If you think you will do better in it, taking the fact that they scale the same into account, you might as well change. I...

    leading edge conference tue/wed

It made me a bit sleepy, but I think the fact that I only got 3 hours sleep the night before could have been a contributing factor as well... I have quite a decent attention span, but 6 hours of lectures on financial flows, and the current account deficit certainly do unusual things to a human.

    leading edge conference tue/wed

I got home from the city conference about an hour ago - I really enjoyed it. I especially like how they have compiled the notes with all the recent stats, it makes you feel like you don't have to take in every word they say. I recommend them! And damn, I should have tried that bluetooth...

Anyone Else Studying September 11th and Al Qaeda??

I'm not sure if one can say "Bin Laden didn't do it". I think that's the point - it's a topic that hasn't really been finalised, which creates a problem if you're studying it.

    help with globalisation Vietnam

There is quite a bit of information relating to Vietnam's economy on the CIA World Factbook. http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/vm.html#Econ Not too detailed in regards to globalisation, however, it does cover a few important points.
