    UNSW maths comps have nothing to do with 4U and 3U. It really depends whether your interests and ability lies in maths - if you think you can handle 3U pretty easily then take up 4U. If you're in it for the "scaling" then forget about it - you probably won't do well in 4U. I got like 98% or...

    get stuck on first question, sit there and stare at paper, get stuck stuck, continue sitting there for 2hrs, then move onto next paper and get stuck again.....etc, until your 40hours is up :P

    Rotating Complex Numbers other than 90 Degrees

    multiply by cis @, where @ is your degrees of rotation anticlockwise rotating by 90deg anticlockwise is equivalent to multiplying by cis(pi/2) = i ; clockwise is cis(-pi/2) = -i therefore to rotate by pi/3, multiply by cis(pi/3)
