    Playing the piano

Ignore this A) musically ungifted person, B) lazy ass who clearly did not have the stamina to through with it. Any instrument is fantastic to learn. Chicks dig it. "Finished piano" - No, not amus 8th good enough. Violin for 1 yr and guitar for 1 yr. Will stop violin once I hit 8th...

Last minute UMAT tutor available AT $12 per hr!!

Freshofftheboat comes out to me as being an arrogant prick. Just an observation on this board over the months... If no one else has things related to the thread, don't reply. OP is trying to help people and frankly $12 is a bargain. Good luck.

Introducing: Dentistry at La Trobe University

Did not know they allowed deferring! Besides the point. Congrats. Biology will be much more useful to you than Chemistry. Very little chemistry thus far, and as I am aware, almost 95% of theory based work will be finished by 3rd year. In other words, no chemistry, if you understand the...

    What certificate is better

How about an ice breaker between the Doc's? Free cookies? No? Chill you two. You both make very good points.

    Intelligence

+1. The awkward silences when you bring up a "smart" topic changes to the "what movies have you seen". BOR-ING. Either good convo or get physical. Either one. Oh and yes, would never date someone dumb. Intelligence +++ brownie points.

    Macbook Vs iMac

If you're buying a Macbook pro, DO NOT GET IT NOW. It's updating in about a month, hold still and you'll be getting yourself a Quad-core i5 Macbook Pro for roughly the same price. But yes, get a laptop, the quad core will be more than enough for your movie-editing needs + it's portable.

    Doctors/specialists that DON'T do surgery?

    Doctors/specialists that DON'T do surgery?

Introducing: Dentistry at La Trobe University

First year I remembered about 26-32 contact hours a week. Truancy for some subjects are ok (sorry, can't mention the name of the subjects here in case a lecturer prowls these forums). However, you are required to be at about 95% of practical classes. If they fall into a friday, then you can...

+1. If you're talking about an MBBS. There's blood. Lots of it. +1 Wooz. Please bugger off if you're in it for prestige (and God-forbid, money).

Does undergraduate dentistry exist in Australia?

They're outliers. I know 2 student in our course with less than 90's. But come-on, they were rural entry. Have to be realistic around here. I still have a devastated friend with 99.15 (last year) and is now doing optometry. She still cries about not making it into LTU's Dentistry course a YEAR...
