    2007 NRL Thread

Fuck me, if I see another crap ass obstruction penalty I'm going to HURT SOMEONE. Warriors should be in front by like 19837765 - 4. What's the point of even having decoy runners if the moment they brush past a defender it's an obstruction? PS - If Orford doesn't get the nod for NSW the...

    The CIE Hotline

I loved CIE :D. It was P&C and CC1 that gave me all the crazy 'I hate Communications' feelings. Matt was my tutor so it was more fun than anything. I atually ended up with a HD overall for CIE...geez, I never realised just how geeky I really am.

    2007 NRL Thread

I back the Rooters to make the top 8, simply because Chris Anderson finally talked some sense in saying Anasta is a natural lock, and not the next Fitler. Been saying that for the past 3 years. However, and this was my opinion before he dumped the Dogs...Nate Myles is not that good. Seriously...

    '06 Transfer Candidates Post Here

Uni: UTS Old degree: B Arts in Com (Journo) DFEE New degree: B Arts in Com (Journo) HECS UAI: 90.95 GPA: 5.875 (1 HD, 5 D's and 2 C's) NRSL index: 92.475 So I'm transfering into my second year of the same degree with an almost distinction average. Does that bode well for me? We've had to go...

    Rugby League Tri-Nations

If you want someone who does the nitty gritty, why not pick say Tony Grimaldi (pre-injury)? He never would have been considered for a second for the tri-nations, and on average has performed the same amount of hit ups and twice the amount of tackles Ryan has this season. I do think having...

    Rugby League Tri-Nations

HAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA. Serious? Have you ever watched a Dogs game? As a loyal Bulldogs supporter I'd take Maitua over Ryan ANY day. If the selectors had half a brain he wouldn't be in the squad at all. I still haven't gotten over the selection of Jamie Lyon in the squad yet. I'm assuming at...

If Melbourne win I'll be 4/4 this weekend. Parra have done well to hold them out as much as possible, but they seem so lost when it comes to how to score points. Go the Dogs, at any rate :D. Shame that Jason Smith got injured though.

    BA/Law - - Journalism? International Studies?

Journalism class itself (every Thursday or Friday for 3 hours) is about 30/70 theory/practical. So you learn how to construct a news story (etc) but the whole point of the assignments are to find a story, find sources, record interviews with sources, and put together a conceivably publishable...

Parents paying for uni-apply dfee or csp?

My bad, you were talking about deferment of a year and I thought you meant deferment of tuition :). I've spent the last 4 hours writing an essay on the enlightenment, give me a break.

Parents paying for uni-apply dfee or csp?

It all depends what your UAI is and what the course cut-off is. For example, if the cut-off is 90 and you get 91, you're in as a CSP student. If the course cut-off is 90 and you get 89, you can do the first year (and ones following it if you don't want to transfer) as a DFEE student, because...

Parents paying for uni-apply dfee or csp?

Bah? FEE Help is exactly the same as HECS Help, so you can defer your whole degree as long as it doesn't pass the $55 000 cap. Anyway, unless it's your dream course and you just fall short of the UAI, apply for CSP. Considering your parents have the money I'd go with Generator and put your CSP...

Hazem was brilliant at kicking on Sunday but not much else. He kept coming up and in and letting the Panthers winger get on the outside of him...he's slightly ageing so I don't know how he expected to keep up. Reni Maitua is injured. How great. Gbyyyyye premiership.

There was a form slump, they just unslumped at the right time. On the Dogs' form, we have just been absolutely terrible. Hopefully fianls footy will change this. It's been an abysmal season, nothing like 2004...I'm getting sick of Dogs fans saying we'll definitely win the gf. The way we're...

    BA/Law - - Journalism? International Studies?

I'm a Journo student and I'd say don't do journalism unless it's a seriously viable career path. I've seen loads of students just go "What the hell are we doing here?" The good part is UTS is awesome if journalism is what you're passionate about. The tutors are fantastic and from the get go...

Stuart loses job as Roosters coach Monday, August 28, 2006 - 5:53 PM Australian rugby league coach Ricky Stuart has lost his job as head coach of the Sydney Roosters, the NRL club announced on Monday. Stuart was under growing pressure to retain his position after the Roosters had won just...

NRL : The Official NRL Thread 2006

Does anyone actually believe that Stuart will leave the Rooters? I'm kind of dubious. I wonder what he'll do if he does leave. Disappear into oblivion, hopefully. The Warriors are such a formidable force when they get their shit together. But then every now and then they'll have an absolutely...
