yes, go the triangle. And yep, its possible to play mary had a little lamb on it.
right now, im mucking around with a few of my own compositions on piano. basically, trying to make them more cohesive and fitting in the lyrics.
also, on the piano, all the recent whitlams songs by heart...
The minor stuff not being recorded on testamur - i couldnt really care less about that. I'm would want to do it cause i enjoy it. simple, really.
with regard to overloading; doesnt a minor have to constitute part of the commerce course anyway (if its only one major)?
wish e+b faculty...
I dont know. The Commerce Handbook says you can choose minors outside E+B (page 18). I wish the staff actually told us about this stuff now rather than later. But if i cant, I'll beg to do it. I need something to keep me interested in uni, other than law. Horrible..
It certainly won't grow on me. All you have to do is not tune into Channel 10 or listen to commercial radio. It's so simple. There's a lot more to Australian music than people like Delta, Guy, etc.
Give me people with passion, not heads for dollars.
Anyone know what the deal is with majors and minors? It's surely bound to be springing up in our minds now that the semester is halfway through. Or maybe we're too lazy to do this crap (like me).
But yeah, I was thinking of only doing Finance and doing an Arts minor (music) if thats possible...
i went to a whitlams' gig in may - tim freedman (the lead) commented on how get was very "beatles-esque". He doesn't like them and my feeling is many other musicians don't like them for their unwarranted success. It's like dave hughes from the glasshouse (wil anderson isn't a fan either): "if...
But it's not just best band but best Australian band. If you're going to be literal (as in native Australian) - might as well give it to Yothu Yindi.
But Jet being at Homebake has certainly turned me off going there - considering they are a headline act, which does not justify the fanfare. I...
Jet is a 60's/70's rip off band. FBI Radio had some debate it. And I think it's quite true. If I wanted to listen to their music - I'd listen to Rolling Stones, Beatles, Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin....you get the gist of it.
I'm a big fan of "good songs played well" sort of bands: The Whitlams...
i havent posted for so long...what a change.
but there's a few sources that have remained unnamed so far, that i think are pretty crucial.
I think street press is one of the biggest things. The 2 biggest are Drum Media and The Brag. 3D World is dance shite, for those that way inclined. How...
on the note of property, i think the house prices around newtown/erskineville have really gone through the roof...i think im going to have to wait till at least next year for a place to get
I own and run an investment company for the last 3.5 years but am thinking about setting up an online shop/store and seeing how that goes...I just need to find my suppliers and all is set
i dont know but as an asian, i find not just the asian clubs/societies but all ethnic groups just discriminatory - i havent bothered to join any of the chinese associations no matter how enticing simply because of it segregatory nature...it makes little sense to join these groups based on race...
Sometimes i feel that the whole money thing is totally irrelevant but the food and bills do have to be paid.
I'll probably want to be starting off as an Equities Analyst - probably around $40K-ish
The law degree probably wont be used much until i get into the special situations/mergers and...
I hear that Honours is a semester of lectures, tutorials (with no assessments) and that the next semester is your own research for an Honours thesis...Please correct me because I'm probably wrong!!
Hi there,
I'm not sure where this thread would belong.
Those who know their musical instruments would know about what I am talking about.
Essentially, would anyone in the Sydney area who would have a Wurlitzer electric piano and be willing to sell it? I will pay a reasonable price...
I would tend to think that USYD and UNSW tend to have that "old boys" network feel to it..then again, theres probably some arguments to contrary this (just find them on the numerous threads abound on BOS!)....It's really up to you and what you think.
Liar's Poker gave me a good feel of what...
Oh you'll be surprised...Arts can be quite useful (philosophy can provide a quirky but good view on things)..There are successful funds managers who did Arts at uni, especially in America - where they manage money to the tune of tens of billions of dollars (example: the manager of Legg Mason...
