    Best Lecturers at USyd

Stephen Juan (Dr Stevie :uhhuh: ) - he does Education. Most knowledgeable guy ever. Some of the only lectures I enjoyed this semester. He's at uni like 24/7 and goes on the Today show and radio interviews and what not. Lol. Robert Dixon and Bernadette Brennan - both do Aus...

wow exactly my thoughts! i don't know about the exam, i normally do really well in society but im never very confident. though it should be fine  i thought i would be absolutely ecstatic after this last exam cause its been so long, but now i'm actually sad because i too will miss...

Module B: Critical Study of Texts

dude, funny. the thing is, a "reading" is an interpretation. there's absolutely nothing wrong with your personal response following some sort of "reading" that you agree with. the point of the module isn't to make up your own ideas and have a completely original response to the play. it's to...

My School fucked me over - what can I do?

i agree it's extremely annoying but yeah, we got stuck with the individual and society, no say in it at all. i reckon it's pretty good that you got a choice in the first place. anyway, for my ext2 major work i research pomo a LOT too, and i guess it would have been helpful if we'd studied it in...

Module B: Critical Study of Texts

yeah, i did a marxist interpretation of king lear and for the exam it worked really well because it's very much centred on lear and his widening awareness...but i still thought the question was pretty narrow because it didn't allow that much room, unfortunately i found myself repeating myself a...

    For People Who Did Bad!!!

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) we only get our overall mark for English in our results, they don't even divide it up into Paper 1 or 2. The exam was okay, but I thought Section II was ridiculous as it would have favoured so many people over others, depended on what you'd prepared. In...

    King Lear: Marxist Interpretation

:) I reckon Marxist is a great interpretation, that's the one I'm swinging towards. Here are my notes: How Lear begins 1. Believes in own rightness (DIVINE right), absolute power. 2. Cannot conceive his will being challenged. 3. Power and possessions are everything. 4. Superficial...

    Community and Family

Nah, she actually got 97. But yeah she's my good friend Anna and I think 3rd in the state isn't such a bad result! :) And this is considering she played netball the night before, went swimming the morning before the exam and had to endure the horrific sounds of a builder banging away outside...
