I mean once it is fully simplified. That is my opinion also, however in some texts the answer is always left in factored form. In other texts the answer is always left in expanded form. I will stick with expanded.

Hi all, when algebraic fractions are fully simplified should the numerator and denominator be fully factorised? Or is expanded form fine?

Love my dance music, mainly listen to Hard Trance, Happy Hard and ofcourse Psytrance. Regular raver and club goer. Favourite act at the mo would be Infected Mushroom, there set at Space this year absolutely owned! It's a shame that almost no students at my school are into the scene.
