Sorry I forgot about this thread. I took my problem up with the HSC advice line and it turns out my school submitted 3 people ranked as first. I had the highest exam mark (48) but the other two firsts received 46. Due to scaling my assessment mark became 46. The problem then is not due...

    State-ranked Ancient History tutor, anyone?

I'd only want students with a sense of humour anyway. I can afford to be picky.

    State-ranked Ancient History tutor, anyone?

TUTORING AVAILABLE I received 100 in Ancient History HSC 2005 coming 5th in the state. My topics were: - Roman Society from Augustus to Titus - Political Revolution in Rome: 133-78 BC - 4th Century Greece to the death of Alexander the Great - Personality: Alexander the...

I'm a bit confused about my History Extension marks, hoping someone could explain. I had the top assessment rank for History Extension in my school. My HSC examination mark, however, exceeded my assessment mark. My understanding of the system was that if I come first then my...

    Extension History - General thoughts

I do Tacitus as well and I can confidently say I've never heard of any of the texts or archaeological evidence you've just recalled. I'm not saying you're making it up, I'm just saying that it looks like the majority of the candidates who did Tacitus weren't taught in the same way as you. So...

Gavrillo, what do you mean by ''Maimondian'' in your RS? Are you referring to Maimonides?

    Case Study: Tacitus

Tacitus I, too, am doing Tacitus. However, I'm not entirely sure about what the HSC markers want. Firstly, is the ''Case Study'' Tacitus himself, or what Tacitus discusses, i.e. The Prinicipate? If it is Tacitus himself, then should I be looking more at His contextual influences...

    Oxford

Firstly, to clarify: even if you have a British passport you need to have lived there for around 3 years to be eligible for funding - which is very comprehensive. Secondly, I suggest Cambridge - the Classics courses are very similar indeed, although Cambridge does get a bad rap for classics...

    Scriptwriters 2005

Length I'm doing a play script and was wondering if there was a sure-fire method of measuring the amount of time a scene or page will take up etc. I've already read somewhere around 1 and a half minutes per/page but that seems slightly spurious.

    Geo Notes

I'm not too sure if anyone actually made Geography notes, but saying they did, could these people make them available somehow - perhaps this has already been done... Anyway, if they were made available I would be most appreciative
