    Rankings?

Though the difference in entry requirements for a straight Arts degree is not that considerable, consider the generally very high Sydney Uni Arts UAI requirements. Like Arts (Adv) (Hon), Arts (Phyc), Liberal Studies (Adv)/(Int), B Arts (Languages), B Arts (Media and Communications)... all in the...

    Engl 2641

hey there, I do both those courses. I'm finding ENGL2641 quite interesting. I think Will Christie is great and the issues arising from the texts are pretty interesting. Wait sorry, I'm not sure if you're asking about the ENGL2636 or ENGL2641 subject (as your title would seem to suggest...

    Timetable Question

I managed to get a 3-day week- 3 contact hours on both monday and tuesday and 6 hours on wednesday. I'm pretty happy about it, although I kind of altered subjects a bit to optimise my timetable (ie. gain more freetime).

"Pot not hot: weed losing its cool"- SMH

yeah, I guess I was questioning the SMH's editorial conclusions based on the stats. What I think the stats really reflect is a negative shift in public perception towards illegal drug-use in general.

"Pot not hot: weed losing its cool"- SMH

http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/pot-not-hot-weed-fast-losing-its-cool/2007/02/19/1171733640842.html To use what the majority thinks is correct or acceptable behaviour to argue what is or isn't 'cool' seems a bit off the mark... and besides, the survey results on some points seem to...

Post your 2007 University Offers Here!

Got into my first pref - Arts (Advanced) (Honours) at Sydney Uni. I'm elated but also daunted by whats ahead of me. I got in by a whisker - .05 above the cutoff. And regarding transfers (for this course), I'm not sure it'd be as simple... because the whole thing with the degree is skipping...

Check if you got into USYD early!

haha, well, checked by this method, so I should have an offer. Which is no less excruciating for myself as I knew I'd receive something from usyd... I guess I'll just have to sit tight to find out if it is my desired course... dang, this has only magnified the anticipation 10 fold! Hope Usyd...

    UAC 2007 Main Round Report

Another bit of media I just came across... http://www.theage.com.au/news/National/Govt-neglect-denies-40000-of-uni-Labor/2007/01/17/1168709808710.html I think Labour might be a bit misguided on this one.

do i apply through uac if i'm a deferred student

I'm pretty sure that for usyd you have to reapply through uac. I thought thats what the letter they sent out recently to deferred students said. I've reapplied through uac- a whole part of the process was dealing with deferred courses.

Re: Tutor: Sydney. 2 state rankings. UAI-98.60. Eng Adv & ext 1+2, M-Hist, Hist-Ext, I'm afraid I can't take on any more students at the moment. Sorry, but good luck in finding a tutor. There are some good ones on bos. EDIT: update- I'm no longer tutoring at all. Don't bother asking.

funnily enough, that was actually my brother in that group piece. He was the tall guy in the group piece that used a lot of percussive elements.

Re: 100 UAI, 4 state rankings - English (Advanced), EE1, EE2 and Ext. History tutorin I think because c_james is offering tutoring with the potential to be conducted at libraries (he mentions the UNSW library). But who knows the source of that quote- is it from a specific councils...
