what is the amplitude of a pendulum and how would i go about measuring the amplitude? thanks BlackJack!! ur theory seems cool! if i replaced the magnet on the pendulum with a metal (conductor [ferametal????]) and have 2 magnets sitting on either side of the pendulum, would that still work?

Thanks for the info!! Well the 2 questions were questions we had to answer and put into our background information. For the actual practical, we have to titrate HCl with a household cleaner (ie. cloudy ammonia?) I think.... forgot the name of the base, buts its ammonia I found information from...

I don't know how to answer these two questions: - Explain the chemistry involved in finding the concetration of ammonia - What is one procedure that can replace titration? Hope you can help and thanks!
