    Fee Rise

Ahh just what we need at ANU, more reasons for people to take action on market day.. But seriously, are people so adverse to the idea of paying for their education? I say fair enough if they want me to pay more for my education, they are certainly entitled to do so..

    French extension advice

Extension was good. All my class did was watch Marius and Jeannette a couple of times at the start of the year, then had nothing else to do so we just cooked croisants and hot cross buns for the remainder of the time. It all ended well with 3 of our class of 7 getting 47/50, probably because we...

    bachelor or arts- international relations

Ahh I love seeing kids trying to impress people they'll never meet by using "big" words such as exhorbitant (which actually doesn't have an h in it...). But anyway. I'm not doing the IR degree but majoring in International Relations within my arts degree. The course itself seems pretty...

Je ne sais pas comment on tudie pour le Franais...

What do you guys think about extension French? I thought it was pretty hard and everything ended up getting band E4 but then realised that 44% of people doing the course either got the same mark as me or actually beat me... It's meant to be a really hard subject but it seems as though everyone...

Je ne sais pas comment on tudie pour le Franais...

Good to see that people have picked it up in different ways.. I went on an exchange last year as well and I found that it didn't really teach me a great deal of new things but just brushed up my skills a bit. Plus if you have to live in a French environment with people who can only speak French...

Welcome to French class of 2003

Hey Emily, I was in the same boat last year in that I wasn't sure how to go about studying for the French Continuers exam. In the end what I focused upon was learning little catch phrases or idioms and then working on incorporating them into my written work. Other than reading, writting and...

Je ne sais pas comment on tudie pour le Franais...

Hmmm, I did french continuers and extension french last year and I thought that the listening was by far the easiest section of the exam for continuers.. I guess that might be because I went to a bilingual school when I was younger where they placed an emphasis upon listening and spoken skills...

    Ancient Exam Thoughts....

I walked into this exam fearing and in part expecting to get raped yet I was really surprised at the relatively basic nature of all the questions. It can't get much easier than: assess the significance of Ramesses II's building program !! Neway I was happy with all the questions and I have no...

People who got >90 in subjects: how did you study?

Yeah I did French continuers and French lextension last year and pretty much what I thought was the key for 2 unit was just the use of basic idioms in French. The markers seem to lap up those little catch phrases so if you can incorporate a few into each piece you write you should be right...
