GENS6033 HIV & Other Unconquered Infections & GENM0701 Contemporary Bioethics

Did HIV in Summer session as well. Quite an easy course which doesn't eat into too much of your time. Other fairly easy online gen eds i have done and would recommend are Brave New World and Energy and Mineral Resources.

    B Planning

Hmm not sure what that could mean...it could be the splitting up of the subject (planning theory and practice) into two segments (new lecturer for this subject this year)...you should be able to find out once the lecturer introduces the course in the first week what that would mean.

    B Planning

Studios are a little bit different from tutes, usually it involves all the class or split into 2 groups, and it happens with the urban design classes where the studio time is spent working on drawings, tracings etc but it can be interactive as well with the lecturer and/or tutor helping out.

    B Planning

Hey Lily, Welcome to the B Plan degree!! Yeah, pretty much after the first semester, everyone has their groups..like high school :). The way the degree is structured means that most of the time, we all have the same lectures and tutes, which is great for making close friends and working...

    Interior Architecture/Landscape Architecture

I know a little bit about the landscape architecture degree, they do quite a few design based subjects including using CAD, there are some field trips and work experience is a compulsory component of the degree (i think most students do it over the summer breaks). The link below will have a lot...

    geos1701

hey guys, My memory of the mid session exam was the multiple choice was fairly straighforward, short answers were ok and like if you refer to examples and diagrams that's useful and there was one longer response. Generally, it wasn't too bad the exam. When i studied for it, i went through...

    Sci&Religion vs. BNW

I did BNW semester 2 last year and overall it was easy in terms of workload and you could do very well and the gen ed would not take much time out of your day. The topics were interesting and covered stuff like astronomy, artificial intelligence etc but all relating to science fiction...

    B Planning anyone?

There are not many essays that have to be done, we generally do more report writing and some oral presentations and quite often groupwork is involved but not all the time. I have found so far, that the things we learn are fairly easy to understand and with few exams, assessment is more...

    Anyone done these geneds?

I know people who did those two last year. With the intro to aust legal system i think there was an essay which was worth 70%. With world religions, there was an end of session exam about 1.5 hours long.

    Architecture!!!

Yeah, planners are in high demand. I have completed 2 years of the planning degree at unsw and a fair number of people from my year are currently employed by councils or private companies (plus we do a mandatory 48 weeks of paid work experience as well).

    Bacelor of Planning

hey nofriends, I have completed two years of this degree, and so far I am enjoying the course. Some of the good points of the course are: - not a huge class size ~45 people and you all do most of your classes together - field trips, this year we had one 2 night field trip and a few...

    parking at unsw

yeah i agree AE86, with the parking at unsw. I drove to uni all of last sem after catching public transport for previous semesters, and found parking in a quieter street, eg cottenham avenue, so much easier, no reverse parking, just pull into the kerb and approx a 5 to 10 min flat walk to uni.

    B Planning

yeah, i know chris, but he left last year, and transferred to something else at unsw.
