I think it depends on what career you'd like to pursue. For positions such as: Junior Clerk, Junior Administration, etc. you'd only be required to have a certificate in Administration from TAFE (and sometimes nothing at all) to be considered for employment. Umm... but really, I think it depends...
Considering your question may have been sufficiently answered, this_guy, I'm going to hijack your thread :)
Well, for those of us doing the HSC at TAFE this year, how are you coping with the workload now?
I'm sad to say that I've brought myself to a new low, in terms of my workload and...
I'm living proof you can. If you're interested in enrolling, the best thing you can do now is call up your local TAFE and ask about the subjects on offer, the fees, when you can enrol and so on.
Listen to these two. They are absolutely right.
I did my HSC last year, and I now know how each assessment is an opportunity to increase my rank.
Concentrate on the coming assessments.
Krisk85, could you check your PMs?
So we can attend more than one TAFE! That's good. The most worrying thing for me is not being able to do a subject that I want. Thanks for the heads up Mr Wiggle!
I think the two most important things for people who want to do their HSC at TAFE is:
1...
I was told Randwick had a late enrollment session on Thursday, 5 Feb 2004, so that's when I'm going. I hope there are still places left!
It'll be good to go to that TAFE considering you want to do law, which means you'll be a hard worker. Always a good thing for others in your classes.
The...
Why thank you very much Krisk85 :).
How did your appointment go? Are you in?
You probably enrolled into Randwick on the proper enrollment date aye? :P Coz to my knowledge, that date has already passed for me. Yet, I'm still going to call them up and ask if I could repeat the HSC there...
I'm thinking of doing a TAFE course. TODAY is the day to enrol at Ultimo, as I've been told the places fill up really quickly. There is of course the 2nd of Feb as well for enrolling into a course.
On a another note, is anybody going to TAFE in the hope of making it into a univeristy course...
:)
Messed up your application? How?
I'm glad Surveying (which is what I want to do if I TAFE it) allows me to enrol at the end of January. I wouldn't have seen TAFE last year when I didn't know what was going to happen with my UAI and univeristy applications :P So 'thank you' TAFE :)
I'd just like to add, TAFE in NSW recommends that we should not opt for more than 3 subjects - whether you're repeating the subjects or not, for the year.
The reason for this is because the Preliminary and HSC will be taught within a year and that means you're required to learn much more...
I really like Marge!
I, like Courtenay for Lisa, thought Marge wasn't going to rate well, but she obviously does :)
Marge is just so nice and motherly that it's funny :P I sympathise with her too, haha.
Just the other day, they aired the episode where Marge went on a holiday by herself...
Here's an excerpt from the TAFE booklet I have:
"Certificates Level 1 to Level IV
These courses teach you introductory skills for some occupations (Cert I) to more advanced skills, including supervisory skills and advanced technical skills (Cert IV).
Diploma/Advanced Diploma
These...
A penalty for repeating Year 12? Oh my, I hope that's not true. Although I have not heard about any penalty in place in NSW. I don't think it applys here at all.
I'm still deciding what I should do (repeat/TAFE/totally unrelated uni course). ... I've spoken to several people and they've all...
Well I don't have an idea why, but it IS there in the website, I just checked..
I thought maybe it was a new course, but I didn't find anything like that.
Hmm. So it's an unsolved mystery.
I found information on your course though, if you haven't seen it yet.
