I did two exchanges to Taiwan and Japan back to back through UNSW. Also, the best I have ever done! However note UNSW is less flexible than MAQ I think.

Where would be the cheapest place to buy a laptop? I think laptops are quite cheap in Aust already. Im going to Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Japan. Are any of these places cheaper? How about the airports? Also, keep in mind that the Australian dollar isnt doing too well recently.. thanks~~

I don't understand how they will do it. Coz if we just show them our bank statement, couldnt we have multiple accounts with various institutions? Unless if the banks will actually reveal our financial position to them, how are they gonna check us?

Another question,, since you are on exchange now, I suppose you are supporting yourself financially. Whats the maximum amount of money you are allowed to have in your bank before centrelink tells you to spend your own money first?

I did my hsc in 2005. At first in yr11, i must admit i found jap to be quite difficult.. didnt quite fully get any of the wakatta passages. The plain form just didnt make sense and didnt stick. But then i still managed a 97 in 2u and gd mark in 3u. So it prob depends on how the course was...

I received a letter saying that I have been receiving income above their threshold for 12 weeks and therefore it has been cancelled. So I don't and cannot report my income online no more. You didnt get that letter did u?
