I've heard people say that to state rank in maths (particuarly advanced), you need to be getting 100 or 99. (And occassionally 98). If there is only 3 marks difference, how do they rank people differently? I.e. how do they determine who is 5 and who is i6? Or if there is a tie for 100 etc...
So i’ve asked this before, and I was told that you’d need like min 98 to state rank for maths standard 2. except, i was looking on HSC ninja and it showed the top 20 and when i went from 100, dropping a mark every time the rank dropped, the min mark to state rank was 95? am i doing something...
This has probably already been answered somewhere, but do they use your raw mark in the exam to determine the state rankers or the mark that they moderate and align?
