I am doing Actuarial Studies also (and Law...) And I was wondering how r u all doing? what are you doing for your courses right now. And how r u all coping?

To be honest, I have no idea what Actuarial Studies is about. So I'll just have to wait and see, eh?

back in my day it was hard to get into actuarial/law without 98+. They dropped all the cut offs this year.

Those salaries draw everyone in, what they dont tell you is that you're competing with some of the most intelligent bastards, and they'll snap up the good jobs with their near perfect GPAs.

You'll learn what actuarial is in your first subject, ACST151 which is pretty good coz Shepherd takes it. It's a little boring when Pollard teaches.

After one year, you'll find out if actuarial is for you or not.

you start with - pretty much at best - 65K.
ONLY if you complete Part 3 outside uni while working (and part 3 has a 30% pass rate) do you get 100k.

but hey, a 65 start is pretty damn good. be happy.
