Hey guys, any help would be much appreciated (working from Success One book):
P162: 2002 HSC Question 4 b) (iii)-

Find x as a function of t.

We have that [a = -16x] and that [ |v| = 4 root(2-x^2) ]

The answers go on about v^2 = 16(2-x^2)

and that [ x^2 = n^2(a^2 - x^2) ], [ x = a cos (nt + a) ] and [ v = -na sin (nt + a) ]

I recognise those equations but can't recall their uses. It's SHM I know, but if someone could please help me understand what it is indicating i do and under what topic in a text book i could find it? Thanks for your time :)

d/dx = 1/2(v^2)

Use that to find v^2 by integrating a = -16x

Or something. I'd have to check the question again.
