AHST260 - Hieros A
AHST261 - Egyptian Culture and Society
HIST399 - World Contacts and Interactions Since 1492
AHPG863 - Egyptian Art and Philology

oh, second semester:

AHST360 - Hieros B
AHST362 - Methods and techniques of Egyptian Archaeology
HIST359 - World Histories
HIST365 - From Hula Hoops to Heroin Chic: Popular Culture Since the 1950s

I might get rid of the AHPG unit in first sem, and 362 in second sem, it just depends on how I go.

At least I've actually waited to be a postgrad before I do postgrad subjects!

Have you actually looked into AHPG863? I thought it was impossible to enroll in PG subjects as an UG. Special permission?

I'm pretty sure there's no HECS discount on PG coursework units. It's a full-fee unit.

Yeah, Masters (AHPG) units are a requirement of my degree. That unit is one of the lowest ones, a MA(Egyptology) student would do it first sem of their first year, without any prior Egyptology study.

edit: To do more 'higher' AHPG units, I have to follow the same prereqs -- many AHPG units are actually shared AHPG/AHST units; Egyptian religion for one, Hieroglyphs for another, the second year archaeology unit for another, so it's not such a big of a deal to figure out what I'm eligable to do. :)

I actually have to do 24 cps of the AHPG units, which are dubbed either AHST400 or AHST382 -- no idea which, but that's what the bible of undergrad says.

'Bookish-type' and 'queers' go together like two positively charged ions.

I'm assuming everyone's just picking units from the 2005 handbook. BTW, I have the 2006 undergrad handbook if anyone has any questions. I assume it's on the net though, or will be soon.
