what does that mean?

I think it means that you only get the bonus points if you are a recent school leaver or only finished just after your hsc..cant get it after 1 year but can after hsc

If you can't get an ATAR above 60, you shouldn't expect to get into uni right after you finish school.

edit: your ranks seem ok, but the marks strangely low... again, just study and you'll be fine.

Yes, work harder. The worst thing to do is to spend your time worrying about your ATAR when you could be spending time studying and possibly getting better results...

Same applies to a uni student worrying about their GPA, just worry about doing assessments to the best of your ability and hopefully getting sweet marks in return.

I need to take my own advice =P.

just go to uws college.

although if you cant handle school, uni is going to be a massive shock to the system.
so maybe think of alternatives.
