absolute value equations and inequations (1 Viewer)

Hi

I had a question regarding absolute value equations and absolute value inequation.
I understand that we can solve them graphically, but if we were to solve them algebraically then

would you have to find 4 solutions to them or, just two.

Or is it 2 for the absolute equations & 4 for the inequations

and do we have to test for both abs inequations and equations..

might be hard to understand what im saying...sry
