these relationships are common and are very very sad.

i know of one relationship that is like this. more like a family. this one family is torn apart by their father. on days when he doesnt get high, he takes it out on the family and hits his wife. and just recently he was really abusive to his daughter (who was sick) and forced her to take medicine to the point where she was choking......................................... WTF !!!

my sister used to date this guy, he used to hit her as well. they dated for 6 years. :/ (lebanese... it figures) and finally they broke up. my sister is now happily married to another man :)

and my best friend's bf, who gets pissed easily, and when hes drunk he goes over the top. he hasnt hit her yet, but he has hurt her... by "playing" too rough and forgeting who hes mucking around with. ive told her i refuse to be around him when hes drunk. i hate to see him say/do things that hurt her. (just the other week he lay on the hume highway at lansvale...)

why are guys provoked to do so much damage to someone who they'r supposed to "love". and how is that love when you hit your gf/wife...

honestly. i dont get why guys hit/hurt the people theyr supposed to love, cherish and protect.

Yeah if someone ever hit me I'd be right back home to my parents and Daddy and my brother would have their head on a pike.

I knew someone who was in an abusive relationship. She finally got out, luckily.

He was just a disgusting, violent pig.

the only reason that girl is staying with her husband is coz shes pregnant.

she told me "fuck! im pregnant to this shit again!"

i was like ............:uhoh:

but yeah my girl said that she told her shes only staying with him because shes pregnant again. pretty sad imo. shes trying to get a misscarriage by smoking and drinking :/ reallly sad.

but honestly, girls should not be so blind by their love for a guy thats like that.

i was reading this month's cosmo and there was an article in there about this girl from the states, she broke up with her bf and two days later she ended up being murdered by her ex.:eek::eek::eek::eek: WAT THE FUCK IS THAT!!!

what in gods fuck is going through a guy's head at a time like that. *shakes head*

cannot stand guys like this. will never let myself or anyone i love get into this situation.

Wait, by you didn't have time for her, you mean she was abusing him? Ugh...
I think she means a friend who has remained in a shit relationship, and is clearly affected by it but doesn't say anything/get out of it. I have a friend like that. It's actually really annoying. If somebody doesn't treat you well, don't stick around, it's simple.

im sorry but i have little sympathy for people who become "trapped".
I personally would not stand for such behaviour.
What you don't seem to be able to grasp is low self-esteem, insecurity and depression. These are the key factors that are in play in regards to a female staying in an abusive relationship. When you have a clear head and you get hurt, damn right you'd be like "Fuck this, I'm out". However, when you're not so independent (For a variety of reasons) and the person who is the most hurtful is also the most loving and affectionate then that's where the bullshit goes awry.

What we're forgetting is that the girls that stay in these relationships still see the good in it. Now, 90% of the time this guy could be great and 10% of the time he could be abusive in everyway. When this happens, it's a bit of a mindfuck to an insecure girl, no?

And like someone already said, yes there are some outright bastards out there, however I don't think the girls are to blame for the psychologically damaged brains of their partners. Simply saying "she should leave" isn't good enough.

What we also forget is that said relationship starts and blossoms wonderfully without any abuse or violence. It's after months/years of love/affection that this shit goes down which makes it so retarded to deal with.

Women who stay in abusive relationships are as culpable as
the men

in this day and age there are countless support bodies etc
not to mention the harsh penalties that domestic abuse attracts

staying because of a pregnancy is moronic
- get an abortion
- leave and get child support

women who stay are fucking morons and deserve it

It's the mothers' fault. She should have taken control when this situation first started but she hasn't done shit about it thus it's her fault (She is a parent, equal responsibility). She needs to approach the authorities and gtfo.
