You will need to go and see your program office (commerce) as they
have the authority to enrol you.

Before you do, try removing yourself from MATH1151, enrolling in MATH1131, then enrolling in COMP1011.
After that drop MATH1131 and go back to MATH1151.

See if that works, or if my.unsw stuffs you around there too.

you should ring them first, and see if they can do it for you over the phone. saves you the trouble of having to go to them, and then finding yourself constantly referred to other offices.

i've had a number of problems with that same issue because of math (even had probs cause of the subjects i'm doing in 2nd year, don't recognise math1151/1251 too). some people are kind enough to do it for you, though maybe not for first years :p

redslert u have to go and tell 'em to fix the problem after u've been enrolled in computer science. they did it for me.

btw whats ur 1st yr program like? i'm confused with session 2, whether to have computing 1b or actl1001.

yep i got it fixed up when i went to the commerce workshop, which was a total waste of time, well that's a whole different matter

i went to the office, they asked me to fill in a request sheet and they fixed it up on the spot

oh yeah, it would be a good idea to know your lecture times and tuts before going there and asking them to enrol you into comp
but you can change it later when you go home anyway, but they want you to tell them the times you want so they can set you up

my 2nd semester is Acct, Math, Actl, Econ

since my main plan is to get an actuarial degree so i'll try to get that over and done with
but i have asked around and they told me that i could do the COMP1021 over the summer holidays
i'll see what happens and see if i'm in the study mode...but one course over the holidays isn't a lot :p

yeah yeah i've got the same courses and u... i also went to the workshop and it was alright i met some nice chicks :D

i was planning to do computing 1b over the holidays but i think it costs money so what i may do instead is do macro in yr2 session 1.
