Im practicing for a mid term test and using a adv book for my 5:3

anyway the question is
The Line PQ has the inclination of 60 degrees, whats its gradient in surd form.

if u draw up a triangle iwth the angle of elevation being 60, you can use the fact that tan60 =sqrt(3)/1, which is rise (opposite) sqrt(3) and run(adjacent) 1, which gives you the gradient since gradient ='s rise over run

see gradient (m) = rise/run
imagine we draw a right angled triangle PQR where PQ is the hypotenuse and angle QRP is 90 degrees
so, the rise/run in this scenario is also opposite/adjacent which is just tan 60.
tan60 = root 3
