An elegant way of looking at this question is using the concept of the area under the curve easiest way to solve an integral to see if they are the same as one another.

OMG i was doing area instead of integral! lmao silly mistake.
the areas may be the same but since its below the x axis it will be negative intergral

Because an integral is a signed area. You could think of it as a vector with area being its scalar equivalent.
