An Analysis report is an in-depth investigation of an existing system to make sure all operations and problems are looked into. It requires interviews, survey and observations and measurements of the functions of the system. It contains design specifications for the next stage of development and gives you specifications for the general hardware configuration and new designs of input and output.
I need to reference this but I'm not sure who I got it from. None of this work is mine.
