Another Wave of Uni Reforms (1 Viewer)

On the surface it looks like these changes will provide more uni places and better access for all. But of course there could be a catch(es). So what do people think about these reforms?

Im a bit impartial.
I think everyone should do generalists degrees, but thats more because im a traditionalist who likes the idea of university as a place to learn about stuff for the sake of learning, not just as a means to a job. I dont really like the two tier university idea though. I think its important for undergraduates to be taught by lecturers who are researchers/academics, not glorified high school teachers, and I fear that this is how it would turn out.

Continued push towards mass privitisation of the university sector... I don't like it.

Education is one thing that should not be privatised. There are obvious problems with perpetuating wealth disparities.
