Regarding English Standard, you will not be directly assessed on the modules that you covered in year 11, but rather those that you covered in year 12. However, this does not necessarily mean that knowledge gained in year 11 may not be useful to apply in year 12. You should consider any techniques/linguistic devices that you familiarised yourself with during your time in year 11, as well as any additions/improvements that you might have made to your writing style and whether you can effectively incorporate and supplement these with learning accomplished throughout year 12.

On the other hand, there are concepts in Information Processes and Technology that are covered in the Preliminary course that you may need to revisit as part of the HSC course and to support your preparations. Consider social and ethical issues for instance. These include:
  • privacy of the individual
  • security of data and information
  • accuracy of data and information
  • data quality
  • changing nature of work
  • appropriate information use
  • health and safety
  • copyright laws
In terms of specific examples, consider Question 22 part (b) from the 2021 Information Processes and Technology HSC exam, where privacy and security of data and information are potential issues that are relevant to the particular scenario:

An events management business is introducing a new customer check-in system. Customers have to enter their name, mobile number and email address before entering any event.

Describe issues related to the use of the system.

Additionally, consider Question 25 part (e) from the 2019 Information Processes and Technology HSC exam, where the changing nature of work and the accuracy of data and information are potential issues that relate to the particular scenario:

A supermarket is implementing a shop, scan and go payment system. A customer will select the items required and use their mobile device to scan the items’ barcodes before placing the items into their shopping basket. When the customer presses the ‘finish shopping’ button, they are directed to pay online and the list of purchased items will appear on their mobile phone.

Discuss issues that could arise from the implementation of this system.

I hope this helps! :D

For maths, they test you on the whole syllabus from 11-12 since it is a "cumulative" subject. You can see this for yourself in HSC or trial papers as they do include combinatorics, rates, trig etc. for maths ext 1. What tends to happen is that year 11 content is kind of upgraded in some sense in year 12 so the trig you learn in year 11 (double angles, t-formula, sums to products etc) is used commonly throughout the topics, you're expected to have a mastery of the year 11 stuff before attempting yr 12. Maths is the only subject in which its necessary to have a strong grip on Year 11 stuff (by virtue of being a subject which builds on topics you learn previously), you can't half-ass the year.

Similar to maths, a lot of stuff in physics year 11 is assumed knowledge for year 12. There's some parts of the year 11 syllabus you won't encounter again such as circuits from Mod 4 or the whole thermodynamics part in Mod 3. The module with the most overlap with year 11 is Mod 6 (Advanced Mechanics) and its really just an extension of what you learn in Mod 1 + 2 and they assume you know about law of cons. of energy, SUVAT equations etc. Mod 6,7,8 feels more of a new topic. Regardless, you should be comfortable with the basics of the year 11 syllabus. I've forgotten most stuff like circuits since I haven't really used it since but its in the back of my head.

TL;DR Make sure you know your year 11 content for maths inside out for ext 1, they will definitely test yr 11 stuff in trials etc.. For physics, the stuff you learn in year 11 is all assumed so as long as you have a solid understanding of the year 11 modules, you'll be more than fine to take on Year 12.
