How does your assessment mark affect your hsc mark?

I don't understand.

If I am getting consistently high 80s and low 90s in all of my subjects and I go to a 203ranked school, how will I be affected? I will give you an example to work with. eg

Say I get 80%, 85%, 82% and 90% in all of my Chemistry internal assessments. Then in HSC I get raw for chemistry of 79. What will my mark be? And how will I be affected by my internals?

Much thanks

Your HSC mark is composed of an exam mark (your raw), and an 'assessment' mark (not to be confused with school assessments). This assessment mark is based on your cohort's exam marks and you will accordingly given a mark in between the highest and lowest exam mark achieved by your cohort pending on your school class rank, of which is determined by in class assessments.

What you actually score at school is irrelevant as they just determine rankings, nothing more.

pretty much what ON said

you will get 90+ for chemistry assuming those internal marks put you at the top of the cohort
