what is the difference between assessment and aligned marks. are ur assessment generally lower or higher than aligned hsc mark. How do i get the marks that should be entered into sam for an accurate prediction. If my school makes a difference i go to homebush boys. How do i find out what rank my school is.

Entered my assessment marks and my UAI is far too low. Need to increase by 8 pts.!!!

There is no way to tell whether or not your school-based assessment marks (the ones you get back) are higher or lower than the aligned HSC assessment mark that you will see when you receive your HSC results back.

The best way to estimate is to look at previous years and see how they went. As an example, in maths, I'm currently ranked 3rd in 2unit, and the 3rd highest student in my school got 95 (we had 22 band 6's), so I may put in 95 for my Maths result. Do this for every subject and you should have a decent estimate, but be sure to raise/lower your mark depending on the quality of your cohort. If your cohort in a particular subject is better than last year, then you may push your mark up slightly for an estimate.

If you want school ranks, they should be somewhere on this site, search the forums.
