*sigh* I wish I was studying Assyria...being an Assyrian myself, it would be great to learn about the culture and history again...

Capital of Assyria....

Well, the time period that you study I believe for the Society, the capital would be Assur, which is also the name of the major god of Assyria. Though if you research this you'll get a lot of conflicting information as the Assyrian mythology is very VERY similar to Babylonian mythology, as many Assyrians adopted the major Babylonian god Marduk, at one stage the King of Assyria at the time, went into babylon and took the statue of Marduk pretty much saying you can't worship this god anymore, his reign is over! But then the next king returned it.
