What first semester subjects are you doing? I only have 18 units so far - ACCT1501, ECON1101, MATH1151.

Edit: is FINS1613 the other subject?

For com/sci students it would be discrete maths (i think its math1081?)

For straight commerce it depends on your co-major/minor. If finance, then FINS1612

sorry for the stupid question but i don't quite get it.

i also plan to major in Actuarial Studies
how come discrete maths? its nowhere to be seen on the commerce/science list of subjects and it isn't on the actuarial studies plan either. can someone explain?

i'm doing commerce/science and i'm a bit confused about what subjects to do.

right now i have
ACCT1501
ECON1101 and
MATH1131(planning to major in mathematics)
bit confused about last subject.

thanks in advance

Discrete maths is recommended for those who wants to major in maths in the science component. Since you are planning to major in maths, it is recommended that you take this course. Also, for those doing commerce(actuarial)/science (maths or stats) check out:

School of Mathematics and Statistics - With Actuarial Studies

Btw, if possible, you should be doing math1151/1251 for actuarial studies
