Hey guys, just wanting some quick advice, is purchasing the latest 2016 edition of the textbook necessary or will it still be alright if I use the 2015 edition? Correct me if I'm wrong, but ppl say that for Eco you need current data, but wouldn't we have to update our data regardless of which book we use? Or is getting the latest book necessary?

Personally speaking, I experienced the need to update relevant statistics quite a lot. The theory will still be the same, I wouldn't think that it is absolutely necessary to purchase the latest textbook, if you have the edition before your HSC year then it shouldn't be a problem. It's quite easy to fetch new statistics online, especially if you use the RBA website (highly recommend that you do.)

Absolutely right.

Purchasing the 2016 edition will provide you with outdated statistics anyway. I suggest updating them yourself. If you borrow the textbook, make a collection of statistics. If you purchase it, update it in a manner similar to what mreditor has suggested.
