When is the maths comp?? It's wierd how my school hasn't mentioned anything about it yet....but I'm sure it's compulsory.

I will when my school tells me about it... I've done since Year 3 (or 5 or whenever it started) and got Distinction every year except Year 9 (HD)... and last year when I was overseas, but our school has a bad reputation for having very few people do it when they're in Year 12... but hey, I like tests

Its compulsory for the 4u's, That reminds me of the English comp I did last yr where I got top 4% and then failed the subject

The only reason I go into those comps is because it gets me out of normal class :p I usually get a credit.

Every other year I get $50.00, I'm making money out of the competition, plus it's mentally stimulating, plus it gets me out of school.

There, you can't beat it.

on the back of the certificate
"as a general rule, prizes are awarded to the top 0.3% of students, the remainder of the top 2% of students receive high distinction certificates, the next 13% receive distinction certificates and the remaining 35% receive credit certificates"
