Anyone else thinking about trying out for the UNSW dept. of Aviation??
Very expensive.., like 120000bucks or something for a three year course but that includes flight training and all the licenses. No need for tafe either, just one big course that covers everything..

For the year beginning 2009 it is $102,000 For the flight training and $23,000 for the Academic side which can be offset through HECS. For 2009, a scheme similar to FEE-HELP is being trialled at Swinburne which offsets 90% of the $102,000 (or whatever swinburne charges). UNSW also offers no financial assistance to pay the $102,000. You also have to remember that it can go up even more if you choose flying electives like an Instructor Rating instead of an Academic Elective. i.e. the flying electives add extra cost.
