We have to do this speech on belonging and basically it says to discuss why we selected the related texts that we are doing, any interesting features, how its broadend our understanding of the concept, the process and stategies we used to analyse and deconstruct our text. But then again it also says to present the portfolio as a speech. The portfolio has questions on how the text relates to belonging, links between the other related text and the prescribed text. So I've used my portfolio as my guide to the structure of my speech. Except for the speech am I even supposed to give my analysis on it?
Because on the criteria it says "analyses the text with authority demonstreating a sophisticated and perceptive understanding."

Pleassse help. thanx :)

Yes. It's just like an essay, however, in the speech, you must use the power of rhetoric. Ask rhetorical questions. However, at the end of the day, it's just like an essay. :)

I've done a whole lot of analysis--I've got pages but I can't fit all of them into a 5minute speech especially coz talking about the process and stuff takes up a whole lot of time. Its really annoying that i can't put in all my good points! :(
I'm so worried! And the directions are confusing me. Plus what is meant by "interesting features"--as they may not even related to belonging and the speech is bound to get off on a tangent.

Ok, if it's too much/hard, send it to me and I'll edit (cut the crap) for you.

Interesting features: look for alternate views on belonging that conform to your own view of belong, but also extend it.
