As the title suggests, this is a thread to state your favourite and most-hated covers, in varying amounts...

Favourite-
Radiohead-The Thief (Can)
Jeff Buckley-Halleujah (Leonard Cohen)
R.E.M-There She Goes Again (Velvet Underground)
The Pixies-Winterlong (Neil Young)
Codeine-Atmosphere (Joy Division)
Low-Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me (The Smiths)
Nirvana-The Man Who Sold The World (David Bowie)
Tool-No Quarter (Led Zeppelin)

Worst
Tatu-How Soon Is Now? (The Smiths.. Sounds like an Alvin & The Chipmunks cover.)
William Shatner-Mr Tambourine Man (Although to be fair, this does have a great deal of comedic value.)

Yeah, I'm somewhat into them..Don't own any albums yet, but it's a matter of time. And speaking of that colloboration, 'Down By The River' is a really nice cover too. Low are great for covers..I also like their version of Transmission.

They did a colloboration with GYBE!? Gadzooks!

yeah down by the river is the most noteable one off it, as well as the song right after it where they do an instrumental with warren ellis

yeah like i said, the gybe collaboration thingo was recorded live, so it was heaps bad quality

HEAR HEAR!!.. i think those who wreck classic songs by adding a dance beat to them should be shot... if not, very badly wounded
