Yes I know no one can tell me what to do in the end I have to decide but I'm not sure whether I should change my preferences before 2nd round to do biomed instead. I didn't choose it because my mother was pressuring me into it and didn't want to make the mistake of doing a course I didn't want to do but now I think I might actually want to do it for myself. Thoughts?

How about you talk to your mother and explain to her what you really want to do and why. In the end she will be happy with whatever you choose.
She may have a good reason which would change your mind, or more likely you haven't actually talked to her like an adult yet and she doesn't understand your desire to do that course.
