hiii so ive just been looking at different engineering degrees and stuff since the uac thing is now open for us
how does this degree stand in comparison to other engineering degrees? low employment? lower demand?
Ive also heard u can transition into medical school through this.
idk ive just been watching those day in a life videos and stuff for everything to get a better understanding

just wanna know if this is a worthwhile engineering degree or if its better to stick to those main 'electrical', 'mechanical' etc

Students interested in studying Biomedical Engineering usually complete a mainstream undergraduate engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) before enrolling in a post-graduate course on biomedical engineering. They may commence an undergraduate course in engineering and then transfer to bio-engineering once they are satisfied that they have made the right choice.

Most major universities in economically developed nations like USA, England, Australia, Japan and the European Union have a Faculty of Biomedical Engineering. A search on the Internet under this topic will reveal these Universities, the courses on offer and the research specialisms being undertaking.

Biomedical Engineering at University of New South Wales is offered as a post-graduate qualification through the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering. The courses build upon a solid professional engineering base in Chemical, Computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, integrating these engineering sciences with the biomedical sciences.

The Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering is internationally recognised for its contribution to biomedical engineering education and research. The postgraduate programs reflect the strength of biomedical engineering at University of New South Wales. Graduates may enrol in Masters degrees by coursework or undertake a program of research that leads to a Master of Engineering, Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy degree.
