Hey to all fellow users :)

Was wondering how do you study or write notes down for the core topic - Groups in Context. I had my half yearly exam on it, which i didn't study as i was unsure about what and how to study for each particular group.

Any tips and ideas? Thanks heaps.

for the minor groups i just do the top 3 needs for each one & a few dot points underneath. then i do characteristics a few points & factors affecting access to resources & a few points.

for the main 3 groups however, i answer them in depth & do everything from the syllabus. most of it is common sense really.

I try to do a balanced perspective on all of the groups. So if there's a question which doesn't suit your 2-3 major social groups, you have a back up to write about decently enough to scrounge at least a 12 - 14 :D. I would focus on their needs, the factors that affect their access to resources and their achievement of individual and community needs. Hope this was slightly helpful

I've done brief notes on all groups for the following needs + access to services:

-security/safety
-health
-education
-employment
-housing

(i think that's all)
