my dream degree is law at unsw, however ive chosen standard and english maths because im not excelling in advanced does this affect my chances at getting into law at unsw? or is the actual atar and lat the only thing that matters

The atar and lat is the only thing that matters. I don't think there are prerequisite for law

and if you don't get that atar just do pathway for a year (with criminology or smth) then re-apply

technically no, but without English advanced (and the skills u gain from taking the advanced course), you may struggle a bit.- Especially when it comes to the LAT and studying law in general. It requires quite some level of English skills

agreed, it's a pretty intense workload and a lot of reading! without doing advanced you want to work on your ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
