basically as above! my school is in the top ten every year, we fluctuate within that, but never go below. ik unsw med minimums are usually 99.5atar/3200 ucat, but here goes

atar/hsc

chemistry: rank 81/92 💀 avg school mark: 88.2 (a lot of state ranks last year)
physics: rank 24/70 avg school mark: 88.1
MAX1: rank 40/116 avg school mark: 44.4
MAA: rank 34/132 avg school mark: 89.8
english adv: rank 25/134 avg school mark 87.1
jap continuers 9/10 o_O avg school mark 90.5 (we got a bunch of state ranks in the past years tho)
economics: 5/78 avg school mark: 86.8

*note the school average was taken from the annual school report, i dont have %b6 numbers unfortunately.

ucat:
been doing medify mocks, along with a mock from kaplan ucat textbook, my textbook mock i got 3125, and the medify mocks i've been averaging 3050. i think that ucat 3200 is doable, because I just started 2 weeks ago 😭 and i've made pretty good progress (my mocks seem to be jumping ~30-40 points every time so ig its good!)

i'm not too worried about interviews just now (i think my marks are more of a problem!) plus i have a month or so after hsc so yeah!

Currently you’re looking at an ATAR of around 98. Something worth considering due to your circumstances is that because only one unit of jap or chem will count, the difference that they make isn’t as big as you might think. Generally, you will need a mid band 6 in all of your subjects and a high band 5 in chem or Japanese to get a 99.5.
