Business Studies: 3/72 (Gap between 3rd and 4th is huge) Usual number of Band 6s: 13
Chemistry: 49/58 (Terrible) Usual number of Band 6s: 12
Economics: 4/38 (Gap between Top 7 is close) Usual number of Band 6s: 7
English Advanced: 114/140 (I know it's really bad that's why I'm wondering) Usual number of Band 6s: 46
Maths 2U: 20/123 (Gap between Top 5 and rest of cohort is quite large) Usual number of band 6s: 71
Maths 3U: 51/82 (Not doing too well) Usual number of Band 6s: 33

We've pretty much done 50% of the course for each subject except Chem (65%), what would my atar estimate be now and what ranks should I aim for if I want to get 97+?

Based off these marks you are on around 95ish. You still have time to improve your ranks, and even then you can perform well in the HSC and you can still get that ATAR. However, it's going to require a lot of work.
