Can we use double angle results in a 2 unit exam? (1 Viewer)

Iv'e seen some questions where I wouldn't know how to solve it without using the double angle formulas. Would I get marked down?

I got told that we are allowed to use 3u methods but if we get the answer wrong, you aren't awarded any marks for working out

Yeah this is true. But the markers most of the time will make sure that the question only requires 2 unit methods (since 3 unit might have a short cut giving those students an advantage)
