Where do you get your case studies for legal studies from? Law journals, newspapers, Legal websites

you shouldn't only look for case studies, you should have LCMD
LEGISLATION, CASES, MEDIA REPORTS AND DOCUMENTS
textbooks for cases
newspapers covers the Media reports part in LCMD
the news covers Media reports also
the internet you can find case studies

I have set up some LCMD threads- check out the forums
heres the link for the crime LCMD
theres some there to get you started

remember to refer to LCMDs because it is stated in the syllabus and rubric that you must refer to them to achieve a top band in your essays

good luck :)

A great place to go is to the state library, there is a section called LIAC, they have a lot of law books, case studies, news paper articles and access to all online web journals etc. The books that would be most summarised and easiest for you would be the lawbooks for students there. They also have a librarian who's really helpful and can log you onto the all right sites or will help you find what you need.

if you can't go there you can try http://www.austlii.edu.au/ however this gives you the whole decision obiter and ratio and you'll have to read through it all and sort it out yourself.

Always keep up to date with what's happening too, newspapers are always good. You could create like a file for each topic with some articles, dealing with legal issues.

And ofcourse what goan_crazy and Melsc said is great :)

Yeah, 1 of my teachers said that in Leagl Studies it is always good to keep up to date by reading various newspaper articles and keeping any that have to do with the current topic that your class is studying.
