Problem: Creative writing when asking you to write your story around a certain catalyst given to you in the question how should i go about doing it? just included in the story, or something alot deeper which i do not know

Make sure there is clarity to the "something alot deeper" because you dont want to write a piece where it all sounds like waffle. If they give you a bit of stimulus (like in some past HSC paper where they gave you the ripple with a quote for change) then use it in your essay. For that year, they expected students to use the quote given to answer the question and it said in their markers comments that there were a lack of students who did and lost marks. So if you can, integrate it as much as you can in your response :)

when u say use it, do u mean to write that stimulus (catalyst) as part of the main theme or moral of the story, or by constant repeat of the stimulus extended metaphor style into the story by quoting the stimulus if its in words.
